Superior offers four types of heatset web inks: Premium, Commercial, SCA and News sets.
Premium: For higher quality inserts, catalogues and direct mail work.
Features: UV coatable, high strength, remains stable in the fountain.
Benefits: Less waste due to quick start-up. These highly versatile inks deliver excellent color reproduction and rub resistance on higher basis weight coated and cover stocks. Higher tack results in sharpest printing on high quality stock.
Commercial: For higher quality inserts, catalogues and direct mail work.
Features: Higher in tack to meet the color reproduction requirements for higher basis weight coated and cover stocks.
Good transfer, excellent rub resistance, remains stable in the fountain.
Benefits: Less waste due to quick start-up. Similar to the SCA series in general performance, this series is the "workhorse" of the lot. Ideally suited to high-speed (Heidelberg Sunday type) presses. High print quality and better color reproduction.
SCA: For higher quality inserts, catalogues and direct mail work.
Features: Designed for supercalendered or low basis weight coated stocks (40-60#) that can tolerate higher tack inks. Good rub resistance, remains stable in the fountain.
Benefits: Less waste due to quick start-up. Prints with lower dot gain than the news series resulting in better color reproduction. Ideally suited to high-speed (Heidelberg Sunday type) presses.
News: Economy insert flyers and catalogues.
