| Like UV coatings, some liquid laminations and all film lamin-ations contain chemicals and/or strong solvents to which many pigments are not resistant.
Conventional inks may sometimes be suitable for jobs which will be liquid laminated, but you are strongly advised to check manufacturer requirements on a case-by-case basis.
Conventional inks should never be used for jobs that will be film laminated. Such inks must be formulated with reduced amounts of wax to permit adhesion to the film lamination. Alcohol-resistant pigments may also be necessary, depending upon manufacturer requirements. Although these inks are more expensive, your added cost is minimal in relation to the risk of ruining the entire press run by using conventional inks.
